Jeff Hershberger began his construction and engineering career when he found a job as a timber frame carpenter after returning east from a winter chasing snow in Jackson Hole. This job of convenience led to over a decade of making sawdust, first as joiner than as itinerant timber framer and small business owner. A recession and a baby boy led to the decision to return to school to study civil engineering, broadening his understanding of structural analysis and material science. After a handful of years of consulting engineering work for log and timber manufactures throughout North America the draw to return back to the shop floor became too much to ignore. Jeff relies heavily on his practical experience to work with clients to produce structurally efficient and elegant designs, while remaining focused on the initial priorities of the project. Jeff has earned a bachelor of science degree in geology from Bates College and a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the University of North Dakota.
